Identify the polymer and original product
Describe the resin and the original product: for example HDPE pipes, drums, bottles or caps; PP parts; or PET flakes. Keep different polymers and material streams clearly identified. The same polymer can arrive with different processing histories and contamination levels.
Describe the quality of the lot
Include colour, approximate particle size, washed or unwashed condition, moisture and known contamination. Explain whether the source is post-industrial or post-consumer, and provide current photographs and available test reports. Any application suitability must be agreed for the specific material.
Buying and selling recovery materials
Buyers should share the processing use and acceptance criteria. Suppliers should share the available volume, location, packing and loading information. Discuss samples, inspection and shipment terms before committing to an order.

Common questions
What is the difference between regrind and resin pellets?
Regrind is size-reduced plastic material; pellets have a different supplied form. Ask for the exact processing history and specification rather than treating the forms as equivalent.
Can recovered pipe material be sold as certified pipe compound?
The original pipe source does not by itself establish certification or performance for a new application. Assess the recovered lot and the intended use separately.
